Does the face detector work on side profiles and small faces?

Less reliably. It is trained for reasonably sized, front-facing faces. Always review the detected regions and add any it missed manually before exporting.

Can the blur be reversed?

The blur is applied to the exported pixels, so there is no hidden original inside the file. Use a strong setting though: very light pixelation over a small region can leave enough information to be attacked.

Can it blur licence plates automatically?
